We spent the morning re-arranging our travel plans and procrastinating at the hotel. While checking in, there was a stir as the paparazzi took photos of some famous that we did not recognize. After re-checking in at Quantas, we were rescued from the endless wait at LAX by our friend Carl, who took us to see Venice Beach and a nice driving tour up the coast to Malibu. We then had a nice dinner at Gladstone's in Malibu overlooking the ocean. (Thanks again Carl!)
Fortunately, we were then able to get on the flight to Brisbane!
