What we have learned in Borneo...

1. Hot is hot. In Borneo, it is hot and humid. You sweat within two minutes of getting out of the shower. You do not get more used to this as the days go on. Clothes can get really wet when you sweat this much. And smell.

2. Desserts in Malaysia are just not that good. The specialty appears to be a gelatinous molds of varying colors and shapes - green tends to be a popular choice.

3. It is possible to eat rice at every single meal – even breakfast.

4. Even Martha Stewart wears leech socks when necessary, of course very stylishly.

Hi Jon!

How are you doing? Nice blog, nice to read that you had seen some nice wildlife after leaving Sukau!

We left the Kinabatang lodge by a (private) boat, we were lucky on the way back we've seen a crocadile and a python of 5 meter (the staff was very excited!).
Lankayan Island (the alternative of turtle island) was paradise!

Made new plans already? We've already planned a trip to Greece (Lefkas) in August.

Now working again :(.

Say hi to Karen and Ruth for me! Does Ruth has her own blog or something?

I will continue to follow to blog postings. Your stories about Uganda made us excited to go there in the near future!

Greetings from Holland!

Greets,
